Tata Motors Sales History

Tata Motors has steadily grown its passenger vehicle business, with SUVs and EVs playing a bigger role in recent years. In FY2025-26, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles recorded 6,41,587 sales, up 15% from 5,56,263 units in FY2024-25. Its EV sales also remained strong, with the company crossing 2.5 lakh cumulative EV sales. In the first quarter of FY2026-27, Tata sold 1,82,574 cars and SUVs, up 46% year-on-year.

Tata Motors Manufacturing in India

Tata Motors has a long manufacturing presence in India, with passenger vehicle production centred around its facilities in Pune and Sanand. The company also operates manufacturing plants at Jamshedpur, Lucknow, Pantnagar and Dharwad for different vehicle and commercial vehicle operations. The newer Sanand facility has become an important part of Tata’s passenger vehicle and EV production network.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles is also expanding its production capacity. The company has outlined plans to increase passenger vehicle capacity from around 9 lakh units to 13 lakh units over the next few years to support new launches and growing demand.
